| Bio: | I'm a bit of a loner who loves reading Japanese manga and watching Japanese anime. I am a psychology major at the university of Central Florida. I like Japanese anime and manga because it allcovers a whole array of life situations that are usually omitte from American anime and comic books such as, blood and gore, sexually explicit material, profanity, hoosexuality, drugs, alcohol, etc. Japanese anime and manga just seems more realistic to me than American stuff. I hate it when other adults tell me that I'm too old to be watching cartoons. I don't think you're ever to old for anything. Also I hate when American adults call japanese anime cartoons. I think it's offensive to the anime that was created to be suitable for people of my age group. Right now I'm preparing to graduate earning my first bachelors with two minor certificates. i also believe in God and try to uphold christian values and am a church going girl. I just quit my poorly paid food service job because I believe that better job opportunites await me this new year of 2007. My mom and everyone else thinks that this was a bad decision, but I think it was the appropriate decision because I plan on being really busy this upcoming year with volunteering and possibly interning. Also I have a heavy course load and (to put a cherry on top) I hated my boss and the job. I mean who doesn't hate their job or their boss. That's why I'm going to college so that I can get a much better job doing what I love. I also aim to pay close attention to political actions this year to prep for my voting decisions in election year of 2008. Yes, I try to be politically active especially with everything crazy that's been going on in the US since Bush Jr. came into office. I plan to get a new car this upcoming year. I've been driving around in my old beatened up Mazda Protege for 4 years now. it's sitting outside with a torn off hood needing a new engine. I have to go back to catching the bus for about a month, which I must say that I hate and always have hated. I mean, you stand at the bus stop expecting the bus to arrived as scheduled and the thing either comes too early or waaaayyyy toooo late! A trip that would normally take a 5min car ride there and back transform into a 2hour trip by bus (if you include the wait and walk time) I don't like my time being wasted waiting around on other people. I mean everyone have their limit of patience so cut me some slack. Because I'm such an anime otaku, I've decided to learn a little Japanese. I hope to be able to understand enough of the language to at least read a few Japanese language manga and novel series. there are just too many great Japanese manga and novel series that just have yet to reach the US and I don't want to wait for the english versions anymore. I'm tired of relying on others online translations or summaries of some of my favorite series. Yeah I hope to gain a lot this upcoming new year. 2007 here I come! | |||||
